How do you protect industrial equipment during sea freight?

Equipment transported by sea may require moisture barriers, desiccants, VCI corrosion protection, sealed wrapping and heavy-duty timber packaging in addition to appropriate internal bracing and restraint.

Do I need ISPM 15-compliant packaging when exporting machinery from Australia?

Many international shipments using solid timber packaging require ISPM 15-compliant treated timber. The exact requirements depend on the destination and type of packaging, so export requirements should be confirmed before the crate or skid is manufactured.

Can you package mining equipment and spare parts for transport?

Yes. Industrial packaging can be designed for mining machinery, replacement components, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, fabricated equipment and other heavy or high-value parts being transported to and from mine sites.

Can oversized equipment be packaged for road transport?

Yes. Packaging can be designed around oversized and heavy equipment while considering transport dimensions, lifting and handling requirements, tie-down locations and the protection required during road transport.

Can industrial equipment be packaged for long-term storage?

Yes. Machinery can be preserved for short- or long-term storage using protective wrapping, moisture control, corrosion protection and purpose-built crates or cases. The preservation method should reflect the equipment, storage environment and expected storage period.

What information is needed to quote industrial machinery packaging?

Typically, the equipment dimensions and weight, photos or drawings, collection/location details, transport method, destination, lifting requirements and whether the equipment is being exported. Details of any sensitive surfaces or preservation requirements are also useful.

Do you provide both packaging and transport for heavy equipment?
