AXIS Industrial custom packed four components of a large Mill Ring for sea transportation to the USA and then to Mexico.
The mill ring components required protection from salt corrosion during extended sea transport to the USA and Mexico. The packaging solution needed to be efficient and deployable on-site at the client’s facility.
Pre-made timber packaging had to be manufactured at the AXIS factory, then transported to the client’s yard where the on-site team would apply Denso tape and complete the packaging process around the oversized mill ring components.
AXIS pre-manufactured custom timber packaging at the factory and delivered it with Denso tape to the client’s yard. The on-site packaging team wrapped all mill ring cogs and surfaces with Denso tape for complete corrosion protection.
Timber packaging was lined internally with Denso tape before being fitted to each component. End packaging and steel strapping added structural strength and support. All four components were successfully packed, loaded onto truck beds, and delivered to the wharf for international sea freight.
