The AXIS team designed a heavy-duty export case featuring a reinforced base engineered to evenly support the full 4.1 tonne weight of the chain. A 10 tonne Franna crane was used to carefully unravel, lift, and position the chain, allowing the packing operation to be completed safely and efficiently while minimising unnecessary handling.
Under the guidance of the AXIS team, the crane operator progressively lowered the chain into the case while ensuring the load was evenly distributed throughout the enclosure. Once positioned correctly, the chain was restrained using heavy-duty strapping and timber bracing to eliminate movement during transport. The case was then fully enclosed, reinforced with metal strapping, and prepared for international air freight, providing a secure export packaging solution that protected the chain throughout its journey to the United States.
The engineered case not only provided the structural strength required for the heavy load but also ensured the chain remained in its original condition for warranty inspection. By combining specialised lifting procedures with a purpose-built packaging design, AXIS delivered a safe, compliant, and reliable export solution that met the client’s timeframe while protecting a critical warranty shipment.
