Our client required AXIS Industrial to design a packaging solution for the difficult task of transporting a 4.1 tonne chain. The chain was being returned to the manufacturer located in the United States. Whilst under load, the chain failed and as part of the warranty was being returned for X-Ray testing to locate the reason for the failure.
Arrange the necessary equipment to uplift and pack the chain
Design an enclosed case suitable to hold 4.1 tonne for “Air Freight”
Pack and secure the chain at our premises meeting our client’s deadline
AXIS team designed a case with a heavy duty base to hold an evenly distributed 4.1 tonne of weight.
The chain was carefully unraveled, lifted and laid out using a 10 tonne franna crane.
Under careful instruction, the crane driver gradually lowered the chain into the case. Our team ensured that the chain was laid into the case evenly.
The chain was then secured into the case with strapping and bracing.
The fully enclosed case was then sealed, strapped and shipped.
“Many thanks to your team. It was not the best freight and you guys did an amazing job in record time. Thanks to the AXIS Team for managing to fit this into your busy schedule and coming up with an efficient method to crate this freight.”
