VCI Woven Film GWF100 TDS

VCI Woven Film GWF100 TDS

GreenVCI® Woven Film GWF100 represents a premium-grade, polyethylene-based volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) film, offering robust corrosion protection packaging solutions with superior strength. Crafted from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) base material and coated with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) on both sides, it exhibits remarkable resistance to tearing from various directions. Engineered to deliver temporary corrosion protection for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals in air-sealed conditions for up to 24 months.

GWF100 is meticulously designed to meet rigorous industry standards and complies with various international regulations including TRGS 615, REACH (SVHC), and RoHS. Furthermore, it is completely free of nitrites and amines, ensuring a safer and more environmentally friendly option. Manufactured using “green” VCI raw materials, the film is recyclable, further enhancing its eco-friendliness.

Application Field

GWF100 has been meticulously crafted to address the rigorous requirements of steel coil and heavy equipment applications. Designed to deliver robust corrosion protection even in challenging environments, the film is well-suited for a diverse array of industries.

VCI Functional Excellence

GWF100’s VCI functional superiority is amplified through the incorporation of VCI Masterbatch (GVR100) additives, meticulously applied to coat the inner LDPE layer of the film. These additives adhere to the USA Department of Defense test method standard [MIL-STD-3010] for packaging materials as outlined in VCI Film MIL-PRF-22019E performance specifications. Moreover, GVR-SP additives align with TL 8135-0002 and TL 8135-0043 vapor inhibitor ability standards.

VCI Woven Film Production

The distinctive blend of HDPE and LDPE materials utilized in crafting GWF100 renders it a prime selection for applications necessitating robust packaging with outstanding corrosion resistance. The film’s weave employs a 10×10 pattern, ensuring even dispersion of the VCI across the film. To maintain consistent VCI impregnation, it is crucial to limit the temperature during the mixing of GVR100 and LDPE masterbatch to no more than 260°C.
